The Okeene History Preservation Project builds an infrastructure so that OHPG will have the capacity to receive more donations of historically significant photographs, objects, documents and, who knows what else (maybe another building to preserve!).
There are two major components of this project.
- The creation of a "Digital Front Door"....this website. With this website, people interested in "all the things OHPG" can come to one place for up-to-date information.
- OHPG now has the capacity to scan slides, documents, photographs, etc.... We are beginning with the slides left to us from the estate of Dale Reynolds.
Other project activities include:
- Recruiting and training volunteers to assist with scanning slides.
- Learning how to store collections and make exhibits
